Officer not injured during assault.
One man has been arrested following an incident in Welland.
Around 10:45 last night, police received a report of a family disturbance near Southworth Street and Simpson Avenue.
Authorities say the arrest was made when officers asked the suspect to leave the home and he refused.
The suspect resisted arrest, and during a struggle, an officer was kicked.
No one was injured.
Investigators say during transport, the suspect made numerous death threats towards the officer.
Twenty-seven year old Drew Carrier-St. Louis is facing several charges, including Uttering Threats, Assault a Peace Officer, Resist Arrest and Fail to leave premise when directed.
