Officers arrested a Welland man, after finding he had a replica gun, and learning he threatened security
Some tense moments this morning for those living, and going to school, around Niagara College.
Police were called just after 10 to the college, concerning a man with a weapon.
Out of abundance of caution, police say they advised Quaker Road Public School and Alexander Kuska Catholic Elementary to hold and secure.
Police found the man at Niagara College, along with a replica gun, and they learned the suspect had threatened on-duty security staff.
25-year old Ezenwa Obieze of Welland is charged with uttering threats, and has a bail hearing tomorrow.
Police add there is no on-going threat and the hold and secure is no longer.
