44-year old man suffered life threatening injuries
Niagara Regional Police are investigating a serious collision between a bike and an SUV.
It happened on Saturday around 7:30 p.m. on Portage Road near Upper Rapids Road.
EMS treated a 44 year old male cyclist who sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to an out of region trauma centre where he remains in critical condition.
Initial investigation has determined the cyclist was riding eastbound on Portage Road, east of Upper Rapids Road when he was struck by an SUV driven by a 73-year-old woman.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt and so far no charges have been laid.
NRP are asking anyone in the area who may have security cameras to review their footage.
