One man suffered gunshot wounds
An 18 year old St. Catharines man is facing a slew of charges in connection to an overnight shooting in the Garden City.
Niagara Regional Police were called to a home on Catherine Street near Hetherington and found a 19 year old man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was treated by EMS and transported to an out of region hospital in serious condition.
Initial investigation revealed the victim had exited his home and was confronted by a male suspect in a nearby alleyway.
A male suspect shot the victim and fled the scene.
Officers identified a suspect at a residence on Louth Street near Chetwood Street.
Taeshaun Haynes is facing numerous charges including aggravated assault, discharge firearm with intent, careless use of a firearm an unauthorized possession of a firearm.
He's being held in custody for a bail hearing today.,
