One man is dead and a woman had to be airlifted to hospital after a car crashed into the Welland Canal.
It happened close to the Allanburg Bridge early this morning.
A 28-year-old woman was trapped inside the car, but she was able to swim to shore. She currently remains in hospital with serious injuries.
Police found the man’s body and the car hours later. His identity has not been released.
