One person arrested, two roadside suspensions issued.
Two St. Patrick's Day R.I.D.E. checks in Niagara resulted in one arrest and a pair of roadside suspensions.
Police stopped about 600 cars in St. Catharines and Thorold last night, asking drivers if they had consumed any drugs or alcohol before getting behind the wheel.
Officers say seventeen drivers submitted to a breathalyzer test, with one motorist failing.
The driver was arrested, a 90 day license was issued, and the car was impounded for seven days.
Two other motorists registered an "Alert", which resulted in a three day license suspension for both.
