Closures are subject to change at discretion of Niagara Parks Police
As the Civic Holiday long weekend approaches there are some road closures to keep in mind if you're coming to Niagara Falls.
The Niagara Parks Commission and City of Niagara Falls will be closing areas around Queen Victoria Park this Saturday and Sunday to help alleviate traffic congestion and gridlock, particularly during the fireworks at 10 p.m.
Beginning at 7 p.m., the Niagara Parkway will be closed to vehicular traffic from Clifton Hill to Fraser Hill.
Clifton Hill from Victoria Avenue to Falls Avenue will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. with a full closure in place by 8 p.m., along with Murray Street from the Niagara Parkway to Skylon Driveway.
The routes will reopen at 1 a.m. each night.
The scheduled road closures will be implemented at the discretion of the Niagara Parks Police Service and may be adjusted as required.
In the case of inclement weather, or visitation levels being less than anticipated, the road closures may be modified or cancelled.
