Police investigating armed robbery in Welland
Niagara Regional police reporting no injuries after an Avondale store in Port Colborne was held up last night just before 8.
They were called to the store on Killaly Street, near Davis, to find a man had walked into the store with a knife, and demanded money from the cashier.
Police add the suspect took off on foot after getting an undisclosed amount.
He is believed to have run south on David Street, and police are still looking for him.
He is white, 25-40 years old, about 5'4 to 5'6 tall, 175 to 190lbs. Police add he was last seen wearing a black toque with a pink pompom and writing on the front. The suspect also had a white mask covering his face, black winter jacket, green (possibly camouflage) pants, cloth winter gloves and white shoes.
Police are asking for residents and businesses in the area with video footage to give them a call.
