Niagara-on-the-Lake has decided to ban all fires, tents and barbecues from public parks and beaches for the time being.
This is due to the hot, dry weather we've been experiencing lately and it should help ensure physical distancing.
Lord Mayor Betty Disero says the local parks are pretty small when compared to provincial parks and we need to make sure they're being used safely.
Signs will be posted in Ryerson Park, Queens Royal Park, Simcoe Park, and Balls Beach and this should not affect land owned by the Niagara Parks Commission.
Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire & Emergency Services also issued a burn ban on Monday.
