E.Coli detected at several area beaches
The forecast is calling for a lot of sun this week, but a word of warning if you plan to head to the beach.
Public Health has flagged nine local beaches as unsafe.
E.coli has been found at Waverly Beach in Fort Erie, Fifty Point Conservation Beach in Grimsby, Queen's Royal Beach in Niagara-on-the-Lake and Centennial Cedar Bay Beach in Port Colborne.
It has also been detected at Nickel Beach in Port Colborne, Lakeside Beach in St. Catharines, Sunset Beach in St. Catharines, Long Beach in Wainfleet and Wainfleet Lake Erie Access Beach.
Throughout the summer, Niagara Region Public Health frequently tests the water at local beaches to make sure it's safe for swimmers.
