More than 2,600 local business owners filled out an online survey that was put together by Niagara’s Economic Rapid Response Team.
The results show that all business sectors in the Region have been feeling the negative effects of COVID-19.
The arts, entertainment, recreation, accommodation and food service sectors have been affected the most.
The survey respondents estimated a loss of $1.4-billion if the pandemic continues for another year, but the full impact on all Niagara businesses is expected to be higher.
