Severe thunderstorm watch called off

Environment Canada has called off the severe thunderstorm watch for the area.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Niagara.
Environment Canada says the area can expect get severe thunderstorms through the afternoon.
Winds could hit 90 km/h, and there may be large hail.
Thunderstorms are developing over Michigan and are expected to track eastward into Ontario.
The weather office says there is some uncertainty regarding the track of the storm, as the Great Lakes are very cold.
Should the cold temperatures of the lakes be overcome, a strong line of thunderstorms is expected.
The thunderstorms are expected to move east of the area early this evening.
Residents are warned that large hail can result in property damage or injuries, and strong wind gusts can toss loose object.
If threatening weather approaches, you're advised to take cover immediately.
