A warning from Niagara Public Health.
The region is seeing a spike in the number of new COVID-19 cases that are related to private gatherings.
You're being urged to only gather indoors with members of your own family and only go out for essential purposes.
People who live alone can gather indoors with one other household, and outdoor gatherings are capped at 5 people for essential purposes only.
Niagara Public Health says that with contagious variant cases circulating in the region, it's vital to follow recommendations put forth by public health agencies.
To date, about 24 percent of Niagara's residents have received doses, and over 125,000 shots have been administered in the area.
