Niagara Reports 36 New COVID-19 Infections

Six people in hospital with the virus.

A jump in new COVID-19 infections in Niagara.

Officials reporting 36 new cases today.

Within Niagara Health, there are six COVID-19 patients, two of which are in the ICU.

Four of the patients are unvaccinated.

Throughout Niagara, there are 226 active cases, with the highest numbers coming from St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Fort Erie.

There are also 13 active outbreaks.

Over 732,000 vaccinations have been administered, with around 77.2 percent of Niagara residents having one shot and 74.2 percent with a complete series.
