The Niagara Region is gearing up for the first session of the Seat at the Table program.
Women and gender diverse people across the region are encouraged to register for the first session, which takes places virtually this Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
The program looks to address issues faced by women and gender diverse people running for municipal office and improve the environment once elected.
Speakers for the sessions will include former Wainfleet Mayor April Jeffs and Brampton Councillor Rowena Santos.
At the end of the first session, anyone interested in running for municipal government can find out how to participate in the next three sessions.
