Niagara Region Public Health has issued a warning about a recent phone scam relating to COVID-19 vaccines.
The organization says that they are not calling anyone to schedule vaccinations at this time, and will never ask anyone to pay for a COVID-19 inocculation.
Anyone who receives such a call is advised to hang up immediately and refrain from providing details such as a credit card or health card number.
People who received a call are encouraged to contact Niagara Regional Police if they experienced a financial loss.
Niagara Public Health is reminding people that vaccine clinics are not open to the general public as of this time.
