Man accused of sexually assaulting a woman three times
Police in Niagara have made an arrest in connection to a sexual assault case.
On February 11th, officers spoke with a woman who said she had been assaulted three times within recent days by an acquaintance.
Yesterday, a warrant was issued for the suspect.
Around 8:00 a.m. today, police spotted the suspect's vehicle on Stanley Avenue near Murray Street in Niagara Falls.
A traffic stop was conducted, and an arrest was made.
Facing charges is 44 year old Wayne Earl James Brown.
He's been charged with three counts of sexual assault.
Brown remains in police custody, and will attend a bail hearing later today.
Each of the alleged incidents occurred inside the suspect's van after the victim was offered a ride.
There is no known information to suggest there may be additional victims, however, police are asking anyone who may have had a similar experience with Brown or his van, or noticed any suspicious activity, to come forward.
Brown is described as:
- Male
- White
- 5’11" tall
- 225lbs
- Short brown hair
- Unshaven black/grey facial hair
His van is a black 2007 Honda Odyssey with visible damage to the front bumper.
