Police seize 16.9 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine during traffic stop
A Niagara-on-the-Lake resident is facing drug charges after a traffic stop.
Around 9:00 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Hartzel Road near Walnut Street in St. Catharines.
A patrol vehicle equipped with an Automated License Plate Recognition received an alert about a suspended driver traveling in the area.
Police conducted a traffic stop and confirmed the driver was the owner of the car.
Officers say the vehicle was searched, and 16.9 grams of crystal meth was found.
Fifty year old Kevin Lee Bentum was arrested.
He's been released on a Form 9 Appearance Notice and will appear in court on February 23rd.
