Russia has announced sanctions against 333 Canadian officials and public figures
Russia has imposed sanctions on 333 Canadian officials and public figures, in response to the country's support for Ukraine.
The list, which was published by Russia's foreign ministry earlier today, includes Governor General Mary Simon, and Olympians Clara Hughes and Hayley Wickenheiser.
The list also includes Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates, Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff and Niagara Centre MPP Jeff Burch.
Russia has routinely issued sanctions on Western officials and high profile people, since the West has sanctioned hundreds of Russian individuals and companies in response to the invasion.
