A Niagara Health research program that focuses on Intensive Care Units during the pandemic is being recognized internationally.
The ICU Research Program has been designated as a Leading Practive by Health Standards Organization and Accreditation Canada.
The program is led Niagara Health Intensivists Dr. Jennifer Tsang and Dr. Erick Duan, is Niagara Health's 20th Leading Practice designation.
Leading Practices are described as healthcare organizations around the world that are people-centered, safe and efficient.
Since its beginning, the program has enrolled over 1,500 Niagara Health patients in research studies.
