Effective January 27th, all Niagara Health and Hotel Dieu Shaver staff will need to be fully immunized against COVID-19, with few exceptions.
All Hotel Dieu Shaver and Niagara Health employees will soon be required to get their COVID-19 vaccinations.
Officials say all staff and physicians will need to be fully immunized by January 27th, with limited legislated exemptions.
Hotel Dieu Shaver's vaccination rate has remained below 89 percent over the last several weeks, and 92.8 percent of Niagara Health staff are double-dosed.
All unvaccinated staff will need to receive their second dose by January 13th.
As well, both Niagara Health and Hotel Dieu Shaver will implement a mandatory vaccination policy for visitors unless under exceptional circumstances.
Details of the plan will be released in the coming weeks.
