Mayor's Capital Budget includes $70+ million worth of projects

Under the province's "strong mayor" legislation that was brought in in 2023, the Mayor is required take certain steps before presenting the budgets to council.
The Budget Book for 2025 includes 125 project submissions valued at over $70 million.
Finance staff have reviewed and prioritized the projects based on current staffing and financial capacity resulting in 97 projects to be funded in 2025.
City Staff will present the capital budget plan to City Council during a special meeting on November 26th at 2pm.
