Niagara will soon be home to the largest renewable natural gas plant in Ontario.
Environment Minister Jeff Yurek paid a visit to Niagara Falls yesterday to announce the new $42-million facility.
It's going to turn organic waste from the local landfill into renewable natural gas in order to heat 8,750 homes across the country.
The facility will also reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 48,000 tonnes.
Enbridge Gas is teaming up with Walker Industries and Comcor Environmental to make it happen.
