Discovery made in a home on Biggar Road
More cocaine has been taken off the streets of Niagara Falls by police.
An investigation began early this year into suspected drug activity, and on April 29th, they arrested a man believed to be involved.
The next day police searched a home on Biggar Road, finding about $26,500 worth of cocaine, some money, and rifle.
Fast forward to Wednesday, and they arrested a woman.
Police have charged 38-year old Matthew Donald Martindale of Niagara Falls:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly without a licence
They've also charged 61-year old Annette M. Martindale of Niagara Falls with:
- Possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a licence
- Possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly without a licence
- Careless storage of a firearm
He was released with a future court date, she had a bail hearing and was kept behind bars.
