Police say the victim's family is grateful for the outpouring of support, after a crash in Niagara Falls in June killed a motorcycle rider
A 19-year old Niagara Falls man has been charged after a fatal crash in Niagara Falls back on June 12th.
Police were called late in the evening to the Thorold Stone and Dorchester Road area, to find a motorcycle rider was heading through the intersection, when a Hyundai heading in the opposite direction made a left hand turn, colliding with the bike.
The rider, 22-year old Brian Hawkins of Niagara Falls, was thrown from the bike, suffering life threatening injuries, to which he died from later.
Police have not given the name of the man driving the car, charged with careless operation causing death, he makes a court appearance in January.
Police add the Hawkins family is grateful for the outpouring of support, and thank police for their work on this case.
