College awarded distinction for several reasons, including retirement planning assistance, maternity and paternity leave benefits and recognizing work of employees.
Niagara College has been named a Hamilton-Niagara Region top employer for 2023.
The competition recognizes and celebrates employers in the area that make their businesses great places to work.
Award recipients were evaluated on eight criteria: physical workplace, work atmosphere and social, health, financial and family benefits, vacation and time off, employee communications, performance management, training and skills development, and community involvement.
Officials say Niagara College was chosen for several reasons, including its maternity and paternity leave benefits, retirement planning assistance and the annual Awards of Excellence, which recognizes the work of employees.
