It's a $500,000 donation to support trades programs
A $500,000 donation has been made to Niagara College to fund skilled trades scholarships and mentorship.
That coming from the Canerector Foundation, starting in September, and award over 50 students over 5-years.
The scholarships will give financial support of $1,000 per college term, and a $1,000 award upon graduation.
Niagara College also says the program includes mentorship through the Canerector Skilled Trades Dean's council, to help students grow personally and professionally.
Students in the welding, carpentry, motive power, construction and mechanical engineering programs will benefit.
