It's for the school that attracted the most research money nationwide
Niagara College has been named the #1 research college in Canada for the 2nd time in less than 5 years.
The data comes from Research Infosource Inc, which included a national study called Canada's Top 50 Research Colleges.
The school earned the top spot by attracting more than $32-million in research support for projects to work with industry in food and beverage, manufacturing, the environment, and business.
Niagara College also finished number one for completed research projects for a mid-sized school, with 208.
College President Sean Kennedy says this is part of their Strategic Plan, to provide real world solutions for business, and learning opportunities for students.
Vice President of Research, Innovation and Strategic Enterprises Marc Nantel says this gives Niagara businesses the confidence, when working with Niagara College, they are partnering with the top research college nationwide.
