For the sixth year in a row, Niagara College has been named as one of Canada's top ten colleges for research funding.
In its Canada's Innovation Leaders report, Research Infosource Inc. put Niagara College in eighth place, based on its research funding for 2019.
Niagara College president Sean Kennedy says the distinction speaks volumes about the school's devotion to research funding and innovation.
"By leveraging the expertise of our researchers and capabilities made possible within our state-of-the-art facilities, Niagara College helps local companies stay competitive. We are pleased to have been providing healthcare with made-in-Niagara solutions during the global pandemic, all while equipping our students with essential applied experience."
The school attracted $7.828 million in funding to conduct projects relating to the manufacturing, agriculture and food and beverage industries.
