Niagara Region looking for trained volunteers to help community during times of crisis or disaster
he Niagara Region is on the hunt for trained volunteers to join the new Community Emergency Response Team.
The team, which will consist of volunteers who are trained and certified, will provide assistance such as immediate first aid, relief efforts and distribution of emergency supplies during times of disaster.
All volunteers must complete on-boarding and orientation training, and take two training sessions each year to review and update skills.
Applications are open until February 25th.
