Peter Khill was aquitted of second degree murder after claiming self defense
A Binbrook man found not guilty of shooting another man in a break in at his home, will be heading back to court
Peter Khill’s lawyer successfully argued his client shot and killed John Styres of the Six Nations of the Grand River in self defense as Styres was trying to steal his truck in 2016.
But yesterday the Supreme Court ordered Khill go back on trial again saying the judge in his original trial erred when he instructed the jury.
The case made national headlines, after Khill claimed his former military training kicked in when he confronted Styres.
