Educator Edith Dumont appointed
Ontario is getting its first francophone lieutenant-governor.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has appointed educator and community advocate Edith Dumont to the post.
She will replace Elizabeth Dowdeswell.
Dumont has worked as a special education teacher, a school principal, and an executive.
