A St. Catharines man is facing numerous offences, after the NRP responded to a break and enter call in his hometown.
They were called to a home in the College Street and Yates Street area late Sunday afternoon.
Police say the man was already wanted by police for unrelated criminal charges.
He barricaded himself inside the home.
He was arrested a few hours later and taken to hospital, where he allegedly spat on an officer and threatened a member of the public.
Police have charged the 44-year-old with uttering threats, assaulting a peace office and failing to comply with probation.
