4 people broke into St. Catharines home
Police have arrested two more people wanted for a home invasion that happened in St. Catharines in March.
Police say 4 armed masked suspects broke in to the house in the Lake Street and Welland Avenue area, just before 4am.
A 5th suspect was waiting in a stolen car from Mississauga.
After stealing items from the occupant, they fled, but police arrived in time, catching the driver, 18-year old Joshua Balkaran of Elmira.
Police say he rammed two police cars trying to escape.
He's charged with:
- Robbery with a Firearm x4
- Forcible Confinement x4
- Break and Enter Dwelling House x2
- Disguised with Intent
- Possession of a Dangerous Weapon
- Mischief Over $5000
- Mischief Under $5000
- Dangerous Operation
- Flight From Peace Officer
- Assault a Peace Officer with a Weapon
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Now, police say 18-year old Jaden Kelly of Waterloo, and 18-year old Osiah Hutchinson of Toronto have been arrested, charged with:
- Robbery with a Firearm (four counts)
- Forcible Confinement (four counts)
- Break and Enter Dwelling House (two counts)
- Disguised with Intent
- Possession of a Dangerous Weapon
- Mischief Under $5000 (two counts)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
They both had a bail hearings, but were kept in custody after.
Police believe this was a targeted attack, and there's no danger to public safety. The occupants of the house were not hurt, nor were any police officers.
