City of Niagara Falls says this will cost over $20,000 of taxpayer money to fix, there is no mention of catching whoever did this
32 trees have been vandalized along the Millennium Recreational Trail.
The City of Niagara Falls says the intentionally damaged trees will be removed in the next week or two, while memorial trees that were damaged will be replaced as soon as possible.
The other trees will be replaced in the fall.
Mayor Jim Diodati says the trees had meaning, especially those planted in memory of loved ones, and called this a senseless act.
The city says it'll cost over $20,000 to fix the mess.
There no mention of anyone being caught who did this.
