A St. Catharines man has been charged with firearm related charges after he barricaded himself inside a home yesterday.
The move forced an evacuation of an area of the city near Queenston and Lorne Streets.
Officers were called in after a 21 year old man approached his 27 year old neighbour in a multi unit complex about his mail being stolen.
The 27 year old allegedly pulled out a gun and waved it around.
When police arrived, he barricaded inside a unit forcing police to evacuate the immediate area.
Nearly three hours later, with the help of crisis negotiators, a suspect was arrested without incident.
