Man Charged with Sexual Assault

This is in relation to assaults at a former daycare in Welland

A Mississauga man faces seven charges relating to sexual assaults at a former daycare on Heron Street in Welland.

NRPS officers began the investigation in August 2024.

On Tuesday results of a DNA warrant identified a suspect.

61-year-old Juan Carlos CASTILLO-FUENMAYOR of Mississauga faces seven charges including sexual assault, sexual interference and exposing genitals to a person under 16.

He has a bail hearing today.

Police believe there may be more victims and anyone with information should call police.
