Police say he was caught while charging e-bike he was using trying to flee the scene
A 41-year old Port Colborne man has been arrested in connection to some residential break and enters in Wainfleet.
Police were called early Saturday evening to the Rathfon and Lakeshore Road area, to find some property taken from some seasonal homes.
About two hours later they were notified of a suspicious person in the Highway 3 and Rathfon Road area, charging an e-bike.
Police found he had the stolen items, and was charging the e-bike as the battery died while he was trying to flee.
Christopher Airhardt is charged with:
- Break and Enter (3 Counts)
- Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000 (2 counts)
- Possession of Break and Enter Instruments
He had a bail hearing in Hamilton yesterday.
