Police say it involved a woman victimized throughout Niagara Falls, there may be more victims
A Niagara Falls man has been arrested in connection to the human trafficking of a woman in the city.
Police began tracking this particular case this month, and were able to identify the suspect.
Police arrested 34-year old Jose Defrias earlier today, laying 8 charges:
- Trafficking in Persons
- Procuring
- Material Benefit from Trafficking in Persons
- Material Benefit from Sexual Services
- Advertising Another Person’s Sexual Services
- Robbery
- Assault
- Uttering Threats
He has a bail hearing today in St. Catharines, and police suspect there may be more victims.
