Hamilton man arrested after spewing sparks on the QEW through St. Catharines on New Year's Eve
On New Year's Eve at approximately 11:20 p.m., OPP began receiving multiple calls about a pickup truck driving on 3 wheels with sparks flying on the QEW Toronto bound near Welland Ave in St Catharines. The truck was stopped near Bartlett Ave in Grimsby and the 47-year-old male driver from Hamilton was arrested for Impaired Driving and subsequently registered over 2x the legal limit. Investigation revealed his licence had been suspended since 2001.
