Niagara Battery and Tire gets most of its business from Canada, there are some American customers
A well-known Niagara based business isn't too worried about the on-going threat of US tariffs.
Manager of Niagara Battery and Tire Chris Singleton says most of their business remains in Canada.
He's had many chats with other business owners. "There was a lot of emails going around from our suppliers, and they were almost precautionary, as in we don't know what's going to happen, we'll keep you posted, and just stick with us."
He adds they've had American customers along the border, and will continue to maintain a local focus.
"Even some of our other suppliers are from overseas, so they kind of land in the west coast, or east coast. So, we're kind of lucky in that way, and that helps us keep our pricing and inventory levels at a healthy level right now."
He's paying attention to the politics of tariffs, but not getting worked up about it.
