The Lincoln County Humane Society is going to put a $30,000 grant from PetSmart Charities Canada to good use.
It's going to use the money to make sure that local pets are being cared for if their owners are experiencing a crisis situation.
This includes homelessness, hospitalization and those fleeing domestic abuse.
The LCHS will be able to offer up to one month of free boarding to select animals.
