22 year old facing multiple charges
Niagara Parks Police, fire crews and EMS all called to the Niagara River Parkway Sunday morning, just after midnight, for a gorge rescue.
In a release, parks police say a man was lair lifted to an out of town hospital for treatment of injuries after he climbed over a stone retaining wall near the Rainbow Bridge and fell into the gorge.
Police say the man was involved in an earlier unrelated incident with police.
The 22 year man from Kitchener is charged with operating a motor vehicle without a licence, obstructing a peace officer, and climbing a wall contrary to the Niagara Parks Act.
