Suspect faces impaired driving and criminal negligence charges.
An 80 year old woman from Jordan is facing charges in connection to a deadly collision.
Around 4:00 p.m. on September 3rd, emergency crews responded to a crash at Victoria Avenue and Spring Creek Road in Jordan.
Investigators say the woman was traveling westbound on Spring Creek Road when she continued into the intersection, hitting a pickup truck going southbound on Victoria Avenue.
This caused the truck to collide with a fully laden tractor trailer going northbound on Victoria Avenue.
The 50 year old man driving the pickup truck was killed.
The 80 year old woman was taken to hospital with injuries considered life-threatening at the time.
The 22 year old tractor-trailer driver sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Earlier today, the 80 year old woman was arrested.
She's been charged with Operation While Impaired Causing Death, Operation 80 mgs and over, and Causing Death by Criminal Negligence.
The suspect appeared in bail court earlier today, and a publication ban has been put in place.
