The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario has appointed Jen Lawson to a three year term on the board.
She takes over from Ken Gansel, who was a member of the board for 8 years.
Lawson has spent over 20 years as a Chartered Professional Accountant, covering fields such as manufacturing, hospital, and regional and provincial governments.
She is known for her community work in Niagara, acting as President of Grimsby Baseball, Treasurer of 62 Phantom Air Cadets, and School Council Treasurer.
The Regional Municipality of Niagara Police Services Board is comprised of seven members.
Three of them are members of the Regional Council of Niagara, three are Niagara citizens appointed by the provincial government, and one member is a citizen appointment made by the Regional Council of Niagara.
