Judge refuses request to revoke bail after verdict
The lead singer of the band Hedley could find himself under stricter bail conditions today.
A judge is expected to make the move this morning after Jacob Hoggard was found guilty yesterday of raping an Ottawa woman.
The jury however found the 37 year old not guilty of sexually assaulting a teenage fan.
Hoggard pleaded not guilty to all the charges
After the verdict was delivered, prosecutors asked the court to revoke Hoggard's bail, but the judge said she would instead tighten his bail conditions after hearing submissions.
The judge did say Hoggard will likely face more than two years in jail.
Sentencing is expected this summer.
