Prices hitting highs not seen in years

Be prepared to take another hit in the pocketbook.

Natural gas prices are forecast to soar this winter.

Enbridge has asked the provincial regulator for approval to hike rates between six and eight percent for its almost 4 million customers.

That would work out to between $60 and $80 more a year.

If approved the increase would take effect October 1st.

Natural gas prices have climbed to their highest levels in years.

Experts blame the price spike on summer storms and an overseas supply crunch.

But on the plus side, the price of lumber has started to return to pre-pandemic levels.
