Royal LePage has released its latest House Price Survey
Just when you thought the price of a house couldn’t climb higher, a new report suggests it will this year.
Royal LePage's House Price Survey predicts housing prices across Canada will keep climbing throughout 2022 and not even the prospect of higher interest rates will slow the trend.
According to the survey, the average price of a home in Canada increased by 17.1 percent in the fourth quarter of last year to $779,000.
The real estate company forecasts the price of an average home to climb to $860,000 by the end of the year.
