They say it was taken just before Christmas, by a suspect driving a black pickup truck
Police are searching for whoever is responsible for the theft of the Habitat for Humanity Niagara trailer.
They say it was taken from the parking lot of the Fonthill ReStore a week before Christmas.
Police say video shows the thief cutting the chain on the gate to the ReStore, and driving to the back of the store, where he grinds off the wheel lock, hooks up the trailer and leaves.
Habitat says the trailer was bought in 2016 through the support of the Rotary Clubs of Welland and Fonthill.
The trailer has Habitat for Humanity images around it, and a licence plate of W26 36M.
Police hope greater community awareness of this theft will play a crucial role in returning the trailer.
