A heads up to drivers in St. Catharines.
The City says beginning Thursday, there will be extensive road work on Glengarry Road between Glendale Avenue to the north limit at Glengarry Park.
The work could last up to Monday, August 30th.
You're encouraged to use alternate routes, but lane restrictions and traffic control will be in place.
On Friday, August 27th, the road will be closed as asphalt is placed.
It may also be closed on the 30th if the word isn't completed by that time.
Work isn't expected to take place on the weekends, but it may be necessary if there are any delays caused by the weather.
Signs and detours will be posted, sidewalks will remain open and access to properties will be maintained as much as possible.
Property access may be limited at certain times during the full road closure.
